This page brings together creations I am particularly fond of - not necessarily the most recent or the most intricate, but those that have something to say.
Collages, drawings, mixed media. Words are almost always present—sometimes they sparked the whole process, other times they came last to articulate what the image didn't quite yet express.
Each piece has its own text. Because these creations deserve a moment of pause.
A partir d'un travail sur les cercles, cette lune s'est imposée au dessin. C'est ma première création originale dont je suis fière. Stemming from work with circles, this moon naturally emerged in the drawing. It is the first original creation of mine that I am proud of.
Mixer des images de magazine de mode avec le thème du chocolat pour donner vie à une histoire visuelle. Combining fashion magazine images with a chocolate theme to bring a visual story to life.
Un motif imposé (les arcs de cercle), travail sur le bleu qui mène à une image qui mène à une création. A prescribed motif (arc of circles), an exploration of the color blue that leads to an image, which in turn leads to a creation.
Le thème : la lettre. Il n'en fallait pas plus pour déclencher cette création en double page. A theme: the letter. That was all it took to spark this double-page creation.
Au départ, un coloriage anti-stress. Et puis, l'envie d'en faire quelque chose et de travailler les contrastes. It started as an anti-stress coloring page. Then came the desire to do something with it and work on the contrasts.
Le smiley jaune à droite, c'est une étiquette de chaussettes ! Comme quoi, la créativité peut partir d'un petit rien du quotidien. The yellow smiley face on the right is a sock tag! Creativity can spring from the little things in everyday life.
Pas toujours facile de traduire visuellement les émotions ! Mais là, ça fonctionne bien. Not always easy to visually convey emotions! But here, it works well with ANGER.
Un bout de papier calque bleu et c'est parti. Un peu de motifs type zentangles, une touche de rappel de couleur. Et voilà ! A scrap of blue tracing paper, and I'm all set. A few Zentangle-style patterns, a touch of color to tie it all together. And there you go!
C'est fou tout ce qu'un peu de créativité peut faire avec un coloriage ! Amazing what a little creativity can do with a coloring page!
Il n'y a pas beaucoup de travail manuel sur cette œuvre. Mais cette image m'a permis d'exprimer mon énergie du moment. There isn't much manual work involved in this piece. But this image allowed me to express the energy I was feeling at the time.
Je travaille beaucoup la mise en image des mots, comme ici avec cette phrase qui m'a plu. I put a lot of work into visualizing words—as I’ve done here with this sentence that appealed to me.
A nouveau, illustration d'un texte. Et j'aime tellement ce papier calque qui imite la pluie. Je regrette de ne pas en avoir plus ! Once again, illustration of a text. And I love this tracing paper that mimics rain so much. I wish I had more of it!
Travail sur les couleur. Pour le rouge, ces deux images se sont imposées à moi... restait à savoir comment les relier entre elles ! Working with color. For red, these two images immediately came to mind... the only question left was how to connect them!
J'ai trouvé ce petit bonhomme dans un vieux livre chiné en braderie. Il fallait que j'en fasse quelque chose ! I found this little fellow in an old book picked up at a flea market. I had to do something with him!
Là aussi, avec des éléments glanés en braderie. La photo bien sûr, mais aussi des dos de carte postale. Here again, using items picked up at flea markets. The photograph, of course, but also the back of postcards.
